We believe homeowners should know exactly what they're dealing with when they call a service like ours. Here's the full picture.

What Plumbr is

Plumbr is an independent referral and matching service operating in Washington state. We are not a licensed plumbing contractor. We do not own plumbing trucks, employ plumbers, or perform plumbing work of any kind.

What we do

When you call (253) 369-2666, you reach a Plumbr coordinator. We ask about your location and your plumbing issue, then route your call to an independent, licensed plumbing contractor in our partner network ("Partner Plumber") who serves your area.

Who actually performs the work

All plumbing services are performed by independent Partner Plumbers operating under their own Washington L&I plumbing licenses and contractor registrations. Any quotes, contracts, warranties, and invoices for plumbing work are between you and the Partner Plumber directly. Plumbr is not a party to those agreements.

How we make money

Plumbr earns revenue through a referral fee paid by Partner Plumbers when a job originating from a Plumbr referral is successfully completed. This referral fee is paid by the plumber out of their normal job revenue. It does not add to what you pay. Our agreements with Partner Plumbers explicitly prohibit them from marking up Plumbr-referred jobs.

What this means for you

  • Using Plumbr's matching service is 100% free for homeowners.
  • You pay the Partner Plumber their normal published rates.
  • Any workmanship warranty is provided by the Partner Plumber, not Plumbr.
  • Any complaints about workmanship should be directed first to the Partner Plumber and then to Plumbr so we can mediate.
  • Plumbr reserves the right to remove Partner Plumbers from the network for quality, licensing, or insurance issues.

How we vet partner plumbers

Every Partner Plumber must (a) hold an active Washington L&I plumbing license, (b) maintain general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage, (c) pass a background check, and (d) demonstrate professional response standards. We re-verify license and insurance status annually.
